IPSWICH STAMP CLUB

CLUB HISTORY

 

On 18 October 1973, a meeting of local residents was conducted at the home of Mr David Walker in Jackson Street, Eastern Heights. The purpose of the meeting was to consider the formation of a stamp club. When put to the meeting, it was decided and voted to proceed, and the the Ipswich Stamp Club was formed.

Ipswich Stamp Club Inc. is an incorporated body under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Qld).

The Ipswich Stamp Club has seen many changes over the years, but the objectives then were no different in substance to the clubs objectives today.

It is the objective of Ipswich Stamp Club Inc. to promote to the local community and surrounding areas, the art and hobby of all aspects of philately, also to bring together like minded people of all ages within our communities, as well to facilitate the exchange of stamps and information between all who are interested.
